3 sessions of 2 hours each led by KONA Ambassador and Ride Ottawa founder Sandra Beaubien and will cover fundamental skills and maneuvers to help women build skills, gain more confidence and have fun!

This 3-pack is ideal for intermediate riders with an intermediate fitness level.

Women who take multiple lessons with other women will have a significant consolidation and refinement of skills leading to soaring confidence and consistent performance on the bike. Making riding friends at your own skill level will also help get you excited to ride more.

We will work on riding techniques, revisit and refine them as we progress through our proven trail-based skills program. We break down riding into easy pieces so we can make small changes, and practice to understand the results.

Fundamental skills include body position for stability, energy conservation, balance, climbing and braking. Additional work includes trail scanning for line selection, roll-down techniques, cornering, pressure control and flow. We adapt the sessions based on participating rider's skills and requirements. Learning is at your pace and we do not pressure riders to attempt anything that makes them uncomfortable.

We will also cover bike set-up and basic suspension adjustment. It is important to practice the way you play, so we highly recommend you wear your elbow and knee pads and your hydration pack.

Note that this is NOT a group ride, nor a training program or learning to race. We learn, practice, develop and adapt skills on easy to intermediate trails and features to help the girls improve in a safe and welcoming environment.
